Women in the Military Scholarship

This scholarship supports women in discharge or reserve military status pursuing STEM-based degrees or career certificates at Las Positas College in Livermore, CA. Award amounts range from $1,000 to $5,000 and may be renewed in subsequent years for eligible recipients. 

Eligibility

• Must be a woman in discharge or reserve status from the U.S. military.
• Must be enrolled full-time at Las Positas College in Livermore, CA.
• Must be pursuing a STEM-based degree or career certificate program.
• Past recipients and challenge grant scholarship winners may reapply in subsequent years.

Application

• Answer one mandatory essay question (max 350 words):
  • Describe how you have prepared for your intended major and your readiness for upper-division university courses.
• Answer two additional essay questions from five options (max 350 words each).
